Our innovative, soft SMS scrub suit fabric, VaporCool™ is soft to the touch with an innovative layer called Adaptive™. Adaptive™ is a hydro-functional polymer that captures and distributes moisture. This adds a special property to our fabric so that its behavior changes with the environment around it.

VaporCool™ must be worn in direct contact with the wearer’s skin to properly regulate their body temperature. When hot, the fabric is breathable, allowing moisture to pass through resulting in a cooling effect. When cold, it holds in moisture acting as an insulating layer. In practice – and in surgery – that means it behaves as an extension of the wearers body.

VaporCool™ regulates the wearer’s body temperature keeping them consistently 2-3°C cooler than a standard SMS surgical scrub suit. Dynamic cooling helps relieve some of the discomfort that comes with the operating room under the bright lights and intense pressure of a surgical setting. When the wearer heats up, VaporCool™ keeps them cool and comfortable.
