Ahlstrom and SEOIL partner to enhance paper straw performance for portion packs

Joint innovation delivers a superior drinking experience with a sustainable solution

Ahlstrom, a global leader in sustainable fiber-based solutions, and SEOIL, a South Korean worldwide leader in industrial and portion-pack straws, continue their strong strategic partnership with the development of an enhanced paper straw solution. This collaboration brings a breakthrough in portion-pack paper straws, designed to improve consumer experience while supporting sustainability initiatives.

By leveraging Ahlstrom’s advanced parchment paper technology and SEOIL’s expertise in straw conversion, the two companies have co-developed a next-generation paper straw that offers superior functionality. The innovative solution enhances efficiency and provides a smoother flow, particularly benefiting high viscosity beverages like protein shake.  A key improvement is the reduction of air leakage, ensuring a more enjoyable drinking experience.
